Title: heater bypass valve
Post by: shane1000 on 11 July 2011, 18:08:33
have just fitted new hbv but not sure if i've got it on right way round.... being a total dimwit i did'nt make note of which way round before removal .   does anyone know which way? is it vacuum pipe towards front or rear.?  i ran engine after fitting but temp. hit 100 .  got part from scrappy so not sure if its faulty or not.

Small vac hose from pollen filter area goes to top of HBV. Main water hose from engine goes to the single outlet, top matrix hose going through bulkhead to top of the double outlet side, bottom matrix bulkhead hose to bottom double outlet side.
.............s/h HBV`s aren`t a good idea for the sake of 30 odd quid + the work involved changing the darn thing
