Hi, I m having problem with my auto gear box when cold start. It doesnot shift to 2nd gear until reached speed of 25mph and gets normal once reached 3rd gear but checked with sports mode on, it doesn't happen. Please help.

This connector (shown by the red arrow) is full of dirt :

I think I'm to remove it if I want to clean it thoroughly but it seems to be stuck there. I'm afraid to use force.
Can you tell me HOW to remove it without damage ?
(please note : my gearbox is NOT removed! I haven't got much space for the operation)

Agreed. My MV6 is exactly the same. It does not like to go into top gear before about 45mph (hanging on to third :-/). I find this annoying and unnecessary. Another autobox characteristic that pisses me right off is when the gearbox insists on dropping into third every time it gets a sniff of a downgrade. Why FFS?. We have brakes do we not. :(

What they said ^^^ - the auto box holds gears longer when accelerating with a cold engine as per pages 136 and 141 in the user manual (http://images.omegaowners.com/documents/UserGuides/OmegaOct2002.pdf).
Also the adaptive wassisname learns from your driving habits. If you have been "pressing on" it will tend to select gears to keep the revs up, if you've been sauntering around it will use higher gears more. You can always tell how an auto has been driven recently by where the gear changes are.
As for gearing down on the overrun - I find it very useful, and a vast improvement on the Carlton. There is this really handy pedal type thing in the footwell - when you want to go faster you push it down, when you want to go slower you lift off, constant speed somewhere in the middle. ;)
Anyway, brakes cost money, overrun cuts the fuel off completely.

You can't easily remove it as it's part of the gearbox internal wiring loom.
If it's had a mating connector in place, whilst the outsides of the connector will be dirty, the contacts will be sealed and will remain clean, so there should be no reason to worry.

You can't easily remove it as it's part of the gearbox internal wiring loom.

If it has got dirt in it while unplugged I would be looking to use low pressure compressed air (don't be too aggressive in case dirt gets forced in passed the seal around the pins).
If you don't have a compressor then you can buy cans of compressed air for cleaning out computers.
