Title: Multi Ram Check?
Post by: Darth Loo-knee on 07 April 2007, 22:19:04
I have read Marks posts with the Multi Ram papers but still i am a little confused to what i have to do to check its working properly? EP said something about disconnecting some hose that should hiss to show its working but cant remember which pipe.. I am getting 24.2 mpg going to a fro from work and knockin about so would that suggest its working properly? got 28.7 coming back from Brackley ;D :y

mpg sounds about right.

Does it feel flat at low revs? or gutless after 4k?  If not, they are probably working ;)

To be honest Jamie its the fastest car I have ever had, does it feel flat not to me and revs hard past 4K by which time i have my eyes glued in front ;D

If front is knackered, low rev pickup is not good....

hallo to all.

the multi ram valve on the back of inlet manifold should open on 4100rpm, while other one near radiator opens on 3500rpm.
i have a problem with that on the inlet manifold, it shows no signs of working. it shoud work on idle speed and on 4100rpm as i said. the valve is working when i take off The throttle position sesnor (TPS) and i turn it with my finger, then valve opens, but when i put it back on throttle body, valve is not working again.. could someone explain that strange situation? please help. :-[
