Ah so Alfas are just like Citroen 2CV's then.

LOL

Mike

P.S. or the Alfa is fitted with those rubber wheel clean discs.

having no front brakes at all would also prevent brake dust on the front wheels :y

I'm sure it's not unknown on an Alfasud :o

I guess you just end up with brake dust in the engine bay, instead. Makes me wonder what would happen if you got a catastrophic oil leak all over the brakes.

Yep, that does happen.... ;D you have to be very careful. Also, the handbrake is on the front wheels, operating the pads (no operate drums like the Omegas rear brakes), and the adjustment is by an Allen key on the clipper.... very very fiddly.

Mental note: Don't EVER try a handbrake turn in an Alfasud :o

A mate of mine had a really nice one. Inherited it from his grandfather who was a parish priest and used it to get to church on sundays and little else. Jet black 1.5 with no rust whatsoever. We had a little convoy to Le Mans the year I got the Westfield finished. 8-)

Some of the older Citroens were like that......

Mate yanked the handbrake up on his old GSA, nearly put the thing on its nose  ;D ;D ;D the suspension dipped full travel on the front and the back end shot up in the air.
if someone had been behind us i am sure they would have slotted in underneath it was that high  :o

..OK, what about the second question, which other Alfa model had similar (though not identical) setup..?
