Title: Oil Sump Gasket
Post by: ajr3773 on 10 August 2011, 17:39:50
Anybody know the GM part number for an oil sump gasket for a 3.0ltr V6 Omega.

Just been quoted £36.00 which i think is a little steep for what it is. (Is this about right or not?)

Do JPAT do them or do they only do transmission parts.

Can anybody recommend a decent supplier at a resonable cost?

Thanks in advance.

Dont - use sealant - grey iirc...

Looknee and others have had problems when using gaskets, sure they are obsolete now and superceeded with sealant  :y

I think you are refering to the Sump Casting to Block Gasket, which Vauxhall will sell you a rubber gasket that will leak when fitted >:( I then found that the Grey Sealant that is used on Oil Cooler Plates is used now instead of the rubber gasket. There was an update on Vauxhalls computer which the guy didn't see  ::)

From how I understood the OP he ment the Sump Gasket a little different and a few hours more work  ;D :-?
