Title: omega 2.2 petrol 52reg starting problem

 omega has had eml on for past year but running fine but just recently trouble starting it but once started is fine till next day.ive been told to change cam sensor would this be the cause any help appreciated

Is it the "spanner" light or "engine" light :question

That is classic cam sensor behaviour, i had the exact same thing happen to me.
Always go for genuine, the copy ones don't last....

Nope. OP`s other post says it`s only the initial start of the day, once started it will start 1st time all day until left overnight

If cam sensor is making trouble, car should not rev over 4.500rpm, and engine should start normaly if it's cold.
