If you can`t disconnect bulkhead hoses, whip the plenum & inlet manifold off to access the main coolant pipes at the back.

Disconnect the main pipes which are part of the heater bypass assembly where they attach to

1) The coolant bridge between the heads

2) The main coolant transfer pipe at the rear of the block.

Then fit a short length of hose to join the two connections back up again.

Either that or clamp the two pipes where they pass through the bulk head.

I dont see why not - both pipes on quick release connectors going into the bulkhead, guess you could connect em up somehow.

Had that done on my old Omega when heater matrix gave up...well actually the RAC man who came out did it,but that was many years ago.

If I remember he removed both quick release hoses from the entry point in the bulk head.Got a small oeice of 15mm copper pipe ang greased both end then pushed each end into the quick release pipe join. Then rigged up a brace of cable ties to stop it pulling apart and job done.It lasted nearly a year then car gave up on numerous other issues and went to the bone yard..had over 230k on it as well.

JimBob is spot on! All I did when had to was to lift the bonnet, seperate both the quick release pipe clamps at the bulkhead then use a short piece of 15mm copper plumbing pipe and it just slid straight into the ends of the hoses, no damage, no extra clips either.  It held until I got the matdix changed too. :y
