Title: How do you change a rear bootlid?
Post by: car-nut on 15 August 2011, 16:12:46
Hi,  I have recently bought a replacement bootlid and stuck a prodrive spoiler on it. I know how to do the actual swapping of the bootlid itself over but I need to know about the wiring, The loom has been cut off the new lid by the shoddy breakers, and I was wondering How I swap the looms over from my original lid to the new lid and where all the wires are plugged into or if I will have to cut the wires myself and join them onto the new lid?

Any help with pictures would be really appreciated.

Thank you.

No need to cut your wires, just unclip the loom all the way to the lights. The wiring on the replacement boot lid can be binned, and replaced with your existing stuff attached to the car.   :y

edit:-  I hope this makes sense.  :-/

Easier to remove carpet on lid then you`ll see the multi-plug connector just to the right of the N/S light cluster :y
