After about 200 miles, one of my lpg injectors developed a rattle.
On the understanding that they tend to bed in and quieten down over a few miles, I left it to see how it went.
While I was away on holiday, I decieded to have a play around and improve the lpg map.
I noticed that the gas pressure ( normally around 1.1 bar ) was all over the place and every time I tried to adjust it, it would be ok for 20 miles ish then it would drop off down to around 0.8 bar :'(
I checked for leaks and found non ;)
We have just drove the 100 miles back home to find that the same injector is now rattleing its t*ts off in a very big way :'(
Does this sound like I have a knac*ard injector ?
If the injector is not sealing off, could this be the cause of my gas pressure fluctuating ?
The car has now done nearly 1000 mile on lpg and other then this, it runs great :y

it may just be a bad injector, if fireing in the wrong time as tomuch movement bar pressure will go all over the place... if you can take it out and test it should see how bad it is.

I would be surprised if one injector could flow enough gas to drop the vapouriser output, even if it was stuck fully open, and in that instance you'd have a serious misfire, a strong smell of gas and appalling fuel consumption.
One rattly injector when the rest are quiet does sound suspicious, though.
For the pressure drop after a few miles check that the vapouriser is getting a decent coolant flow and is too hot to touch. Wait until the pressure drops and then jump out and feel the vapouriser temperature immediately.
Other things to check - that the vacuum reference to the vapouriser is clear with no leaks, no kinks in the liquid or vapour pipework and pipe and wire connections to the pressure sensor OK. :-/
-
It's not unusual for the pressure to drop over the first 1k or so but IME the kme reducer is pretty stable. As Kevin says, check the vap temp and kinked pipes as it's easy to get one of the LPG pipes linking as it gets warm ;)

Just been out for a run in the car.
I took a pressure reading at idle 1.14 bar ( running on lpg )
20 miles gentle running around ( town work )
Pressure reading when I got back is pretty much the same at 1.1 bar :y
Not sure about the mpg but it on a tank of lpg, I got nearly 20 mpg.
That was with a roof box on and screwing the balls of it fast driving to get the top end of the map right ;D
The injector is still rattleing its t*ts of in a big way so i'm assuming that while I was pushing it, the dodgy injector was not closeing off properly hence the gas pressure loss but while i'm driving steady, it closes of ok :-/
I can't see it settleing down so it looks like it Tielo time ::)
Opinions welcome
Thanks all :y
edit ........... checked all pipe for kinks ........... all ok :y

Yep... Give him a shout :y
Seems strange to me but not impossible :-/ See what he says ;)

20mpg (actual, ignore MID) is the right sort of figure for 3.0/3.2 auto, driven like it should be most of the time.
For reference I get approx 19.5mpg (as an average from November) in the Silver Bullet, CID reads about 21.8mpg over same period.

Looks like i'm getting about the same as you then :y
Worked out the mpg by dividing the approx miles ( took into account the miles on petrol during mapping ) by the tank capacity minus 20% :-/
Left a message with teilo's office.
I awate a call back ;) :)
edited because I didn't read the post properly :-[ ;D
