Title: What is Y 57XE Motor ?
Post by: Big_Roger on 04 February 2008, 12:42:21
Hi All,
I had my steering and suspension geometry checked and adjusted last week on one of these super duper laser setups with before and after computer print out.

The equipment had to have input of vehicle to get parameters and mine was Omega 2000>03 Estate with any of following engines:
X25XE, Y26SE, X30XE, Y32SE, X25DT, all of which I can decipher. BUT what is the Y57XE engine ?  Surely not a 5.7 Litre ?

Just curious

Roger

The only car I have seen the 5.7 V8 is the Australian equivalent of the Omega, the Holden Commodore.
Probably a useless piece of info but it was just something I came across while working at main dealer a few years ago.
I've not seen another one since, but it did go bloody fast :) :y
