Hi guys
Last time I asked this (about a year ago) nobody seemed to know the answer.
My seat heater only works on full power. Great for a layby fry-up, but a tad uncomfortable to sit on!
Irrespective of the switch position - 1 to 5 - it is always on max (it turns off ok, and the switch doesn't feel as if anything inside is broken). Not knowing the circuit diagram it is all but impossible to fault-find. And knowing how everything else works on Miggies it's probably controlled by a microprocessor somewhere!
If anyone's got a detailed schematic of the circuit (together with component locations) it would be great. Failing that, can anyone suggest things I can try?
Cheers all,
Gaz

Mine are the older on or off so this is a guess.
Are the switches for each side the same? Maybe swap switches & see if the problem stays or transfers to the othe seat. :-/ :-/

Might be worth a try - although I bet there's a helluva stripout involved to get to them!!

Doesn't look too bad, no. And the heater switches do look like they could be both the same too.

Switches are handed to fit the dash surround. I have a similar issue on mine.

But will they actually plug into the loom for testing? :-/ :-/

Not really, the edge is angled, they slot in too, so you can't really pull out any loom to plug it in, without it being fitted :(

Not without removing the dash surround to unplug the sockets from the back, which is doable, I did wonder if the switch might have a facia that unclips. The switch itself will just pull out. It it can be got at without damage.

I shall try to remember to pop some replacement switches in for Newent, if you want to try? Sure I still have Goldie's

What, overheating seat? Was it a faulty switch in the end?
