Title: Tracking/geometry question
Post by: Robbo_cdx on 19 September 2011, 23:20:41
Evening,

I've been reading a lot how about tracking and geometry are extremely important on the omega. When I got mine the wheel was well over to the left in a straight line. It needed 4 new tyres though so I had the "tracking" done at the same time.

When I got it back it was much better but still a little to the left, the response was "They all do that, it's the camber of the road" My immediate thought was "Oh a major manufacturer sold a car with an inbuilt wonky wheel,  silly me how did I not know that?"

A it was done as favour by a friend of a friend so to speak, and it didn't cost, I just nodded sagely and drove away.  :)

So now I have to investigate some odd noises from the front end under braking and on bumpy bits, once I've fixed whatever is the problem, (bring on another wet weekend  >:() I'm looking at getting a full geometry setup done.

I've read a lot about WIM in Chesham but the downside is a 250mile round trip  :(

Does anyone know of a place around Nottinghamshire that does the same sort of setup and knows the omega?

Thanks

If you goto the link below, you will see that they are recommended by Wheels in Motion, I also understand that you can book through the WIM website.  Someone will correct me if I am wrong.
