That Lotus Carlton belongs to the Vauxhall Heritage Centre and may still have it's boost turned down (I think they've been having a few problems with it).
Would have been interesting to see the same lap in the dry.

Absolutely. Comparing cars in the wet is pretty meaningless really, but if you insist on taking them to Anglessey... ::)

In the wet it could have been down to the choice of tyres. Still, good to see a LC being put through its' paces.

Lotus Carlton still has such presence.... Still looks the business nearly 20 years later.

Just say the LC beat the VXR.... Do you really think Vauxhall would let 5th gear broadcast that?

Nearly 20 years of chassis development, tyre development, traction control (LC didn't have any).........

Just had a look on the 5th Gear web site & no mention of it being repeated, searched the vids too, the only one i could find was the VXR8 on it's own.
I'll let you know if i see it's going to be shown again  :y

STOOOOOOOP!!!!!!!!

Stop calling it an LC...that is plagiarism. An LC is an RD350LC - nothing else. OK??? Wanna fight about it????

Brings back memories. Helped a mate of mine renovate one of them once. Took some convincing to start . It went eventually, after I towed him up and down his road a couple of times behind my Mum's Volvo 340 :o

I've not been without an RD for 14 years...basicall, since I could afford to insure one. I currently have an 4LO with a YPVS engine...IT ROCKS!!!!
