I got a '94 Omega 2.5 TD auto.
The power assisted steering is not working properly.
When I turn right is works pretty good (not 100%) but when I turn left it is really hard but there is some assist.
I have checked the PAS-container and if i almost empty the container for fluid I can see small bubbles so I'll guess tha pump is working.
I have also changed the fluid by emptying the container and replacing the fluid several times.
I checked the #14 fuse and it's OK.
The car has been crashed in the front before I bought it. The damage was bumper, hood and one headlight so it should'nt have affected the steering.
The car has also been parked for 3 years before I bought it so there could bee something there.
Hope there is anybody else been seeing this trouble and can help.

was it parked up out side no cover?? on road or grass?? if as other post its rusted up with no use would check every thing, change all oils and re-grease ever thing and do it a few times.

Yes it was parked outside. It was parked on grass so I'll guess this could be it.
I tried to search the forum, but I found no result.
I will try to re-grease it some times hoping it will be ok.
Thanks.

This sort of problem is very often due to the UJ in the steering column. They go stiff and for some reason it very often has more effect going one way than the other.
