Hmm. He talks about a supercharger then doesn't show any engine bay pictures ::)

.. and if he can't sort out a brake pad sensor is he likely to have supercharged it? :-/

Yes does sound a bit odd, wonder if he means "superchip" as I would have thought a "supercharger" would add more than 35BHP.
Might explain the lack of engine pics.

This person does not have a clue what hes talking about......if its got a supercharger then TB's Massey Engined oil chucker is former Touring Car winner.

And I dont count 12V hair dryers as super chargers!

Thats exactly what I was going to say, but I doubt these actually do anything apart from possibly overfuelling the engine.

Anyway, I remember reading on here that the ar35(?) autobox is at it's limit with the power from the 3.0 engine from the factory?

So, if this car does indeed have an extra 35hp, should any buyer not be suspicious of the gearbox possibly going into a strop?

They'll do less than that. I'd wager that the fuelling is still spot on but the power is reduced due to having a fan out of someone's PC sitting in the airflow (acting as a turbine most of the time). Not to mention the fact that it'll be sucking hot air from the engine bay which gives you less power.  ::)

Probably get more of a boost running a pipe from down the back of your trousers into the air box and living on a diet of baked beans and brussels sprouts.

Hmm. Brussel's sprouts. Sadly banned from the house by Mrs. KW. :(

Sadly, I won't be trying this. Contamination of Lambda sensors is already enough of a pain on a 3.2. ;D

Thought the same - emailed him asking him to put up pics showing engine including blower installation + make of blower.  A blower should increase power on a 200bhp engine by more than 35bhp!

I spotted that as well. The grammar is appalling, sounds like a right muppet!  ;D

"This is Very Rare MV6....never seen one like this one before. how many omega's have parking sensors spoiler Black alloys with red calipers and matching grill full colour coded bumbers no black plastic. Twin exhaust"

How many omegas have got colour coded bumpers, spoiler, matching grille, twin exhausts, parking sensors??? Oh, just about all of them!  ;D

Got a reply - "cant till wednesday away from car sorry thanks

- daffy4716"

Also noted from his feedback that he recently bought one of those so called electric "superchargers" - "This auction is for an elctric supercharger it is a high spec model in turbo style design and high power motor which makes it a bit more powerfull than the inline version that i also sell" - guess he fitted this to the MV6!!

Will see if pics available Wednesday.

Isn't it interesting to dig a little into a sellers' history?

 ;D

So, the plastic hairdryer caused so much extra boost that it blew a head gasket and he's radwelded it?

Mad, quite possibly.......a fool, no.  :y

And they always say, a fool and his money.........buy pointless hair dryers!  ;D

I could actulay do a few sums to show how utterly useless these things are but.......I cant be bothered.

Needless to say that its a peek of a 360W motor which is just under half a horse power.....an effective super charger uses 10 times that!

And 30A is noting for an alternator to supply these days.

Seems he bought an and up market version of the resistor trick:

I love these, 45bhp for a fiver, must get me one....  NOT!!!!!!

And here is the charger he bought:

to pay £1400 for a car with no history is one thing, but then he states he has partial history from a few years even tho he's only had 3,000 miles out of it??!

some mug's bid £3k on it...

At least the buyer can reject it as in my opinion this is mis-described, ebay is far from legally binding anyway, despite what they say. This is a fine example of people bidding before asking questions or seeing the vehicle as I can't believe for a second you would pay £3k for a car with a hairdrier and a variable resistor wired into it as 'performance mods'. Maybe we should have an 'ebay shed of the week' board for all these great cars with ever optomistic sellers!

Each to his own but i don,t think that the black alloys are a good look on a car like this. Also you would think that with the supercharge the 1st photo would be of that.

I'd but money that if you could identify bidder1, he would cross reference to the selller. He's shrill bidding IMO as a veteran ebayer.

;D Hehe, I saw this advert the other day! made me laugh cos he says very rare never seen one like this! Mine is nearly identical! apart from I don't have a naf electric blower!

little bit annoying due to the fact I had my wheels powder coated to make it look unique! and now its not, although I agree the black wheels are not looking so good on that one, my wheels are like a gun metal grey! I like them! but i know its not to all taste's.  :)

I didn't use the link from P1, cos I had already seen it on ebay and new where it was just search "Omega MV6"

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Vauxhall-Omega-3-0-MV6-Rare-car_W0QQitemZ180212780011QQihZ...

This is what I was looking at, pretty sure its the same car!!

Actually looking closer! I think it has been re-listed or modified because it doesn't say anything about the supercharger now! thats why the original link don't work!
