Title: cold starting prob

hello all please help iv a 00 2.0 dti omega and its hard to start in the mornings, found out that the pre heating system doesnt kick in until under tree degrees, im thinking its leak back but would love to here suggestions  :)

check for leaks in fuel line, if you have a hand primer check that. also if can check the fuel pressure that will help if there is a leak or faulty pump. also check the realy for the fuel heater/primer.

checked the lines and there was no leaks but i found a after market inline filter put into fuel line and i refitted it to see if that was the prob and were about is the relay for the fuel heater, thanks

its def drawing air into the system overnight as it was very hard to start this mornin it was as if it wa s air locked

have you been able to check the pressure in the lines, somtimes the seals go on the fuel filter can go with no leak just over night or a few hours say 8hrs the pressure will drop... and there is a line linc on underside that has same seals, and them hand pumps can leak as well. if have one.

i think its sorted
, it started no bother this mornin, so it must have been the dodgy plumbing on the inline filter  :) :y cheers for the help gonna replace filter and seals just to be safe

 :ygood need a bent pin to remove the rubber seals then match up seals few pence they cost.
