Title: Famous lines
Post by: hotel21 on 02 February 2008, 22:57:57
Following on from a thread I read elsewhere, how about a wee game for the members who are here tonight.  Does not seem that busy and relatively easy to do, once we get the gist.....

Someone posts a famous 'line' from a film and the guesser (you lot) have to quote the film source from which it originated, then post a replacement for others to guess/work with.....

To get the ball rolling, an easy one.....

'Do you feel lucky punk, well do ya??'

To be fair to the previous posters, would suggest posting the source of the quote you are answering and then give the quote you are requesting answers for, to save it getting too untidy....   :y

It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

'The Running Man'  :question

Oops.

Wikipedia says:

"The Terminator (1984) - "I'll be back." Said by The Terminator after being denied entrance to a police station. The character returns by driving a car through the front door. Arnold has been quoted that he hadn't thought much of the line when filming the movie."

So, I guess it's 'The Terminator' then.

Although it also says:

"The Running Man (1987) - "Killian, I'll be back!" Said to reality/game show host Damon Killian (Richard Dawson), who does not expect Schwarzenegger's character to survive the broadcast. Killian's response is, "Only in a rerun." "

So, it's also said in 'The Running Man'.  :y

On the TomTom he is saying: 'You are going somevere. But you'll be back!'

Incidentally , the voice pack also includes the Queen, who is saying ' After 300 meters one has reached one's destination'...

And Ozzy Osbrone swearing heavily..  ;D
