Title: ccr 2006 radio

hi there my omega has got a cdr 2005 radio and i would like to put a ccr 2006 in it can anyone tell me if i will need a new cage for it as it has two units instead of the single unit on the cdr 2005 many thanks

CCR 2006 is exactly the same double DIN fit as the CDR 2005.

Just be careful when buying a CCR 2006.  The 4 disc changer had some problems and would refuse to read discs.
Repair is neither easy or cheap (unless you happen to be an electronic whizz!)
They are also  :-Xing expensive!

Have you contemplated an aftermarket single DIN unit with MP3 capability?
Easy to fit and simply get a blanking plate for the space.
Oh and unless you happen to be an audiophile the sound quality is much improved. :)

Yes you will, mainly thanks to the 2005 being a single din with a double din front panel....

Yes you will, mainly thanks to the 2005 being a single din with a double din front panel....

I stand corrected!  :-[ I was completely unaware that the 2005 was single DIN behind front (although it does make sense)

If you end up needing a cage I have one. :)

Thanks guys got a cage now just waiting for CD CARTRIDGE TO COME OFF OF EBAY BRAND NEW

..and watch for the thing going nuts when your battery goes flat. Mine has tuner & cass working fine but CD is SAFE. Looks like a few others are having this problem too  :'(
