Do you also have to setup the radio stations as well every time you switch on?

It is possible to disable code - Please read the manual ;)

May be the perm and switched lives are round the wrong way.

As TheBoy says, permanent and switched live feeds sound like they are the wrong way round on the headunit.

They "should" be on bullet connectors.

Under normal operation, they are red to red and yellow to yellow.
Take the headunit out and look at the wiring.
If possible, post up a pic or 2 of the wiring.

Don't try and change round wires on the car wiring loom!  ;)

If they are swapped and there are no bullets to swap them back you can often remove the pins from an ISO connector by inserting a small flat-bladed watchmaker's screwdriver into the front of the connector and pressing the latch in on the pin. Push the wire into the other side of the connector as you do this and then pull it out.

If you can't see which side of the pin the latch is, you might need to try both sides until you find it.

Remove the two pins and then re-insert in the opposite holes.

Best to disconnect the battery or pull the relevant fuses before trying this as it would be easy to short the wires as they come out.
