Title: Strange volume control/can't adjust tone etc
Post by: unclelicklug on 18 June 2007, 13:33:35
Hello to all, just picked up my new car with fingers crossed for plenty of miles to come.

First problem - the volume control on the dash seems to work a bit quirkily, it will allow the volume to go up alittle then fades it back down. The steering wheel controls work fine - but I can't adjust tone/balance/fade at all - any pointers?

Car is an 02 CD with the standard single CD player fitted.

All the best to fellow owners out there

Does the volume increase when you are travelling about 50 mph and decrease when you go down below this speed.?

Thanks for your reply - as luck would have it this got solved at the weekend, what I hadn't realised is tone etc is adjusted with the arrowed rocker switch, not the volume control, only found out by accident when my passenger was trying to tune a different station!
All the best

I was going to say that you need to press the knobs in. They pop out and then you can adjust them, tone and balance seperatly.

Yours will also have a speed related volume control as well, that is why i asked about the volume going up or down when you are travelling. :o :o
