just bought a 96 cdx 2.0 estate slowly working out the toys but what does eco do the switch is under the a/c switches

Hi, the eco switch disengages the clutch on the aircon compressor, effectivly switching off the aircon.

Possibly about 1mpg.
Not worth it, as turning off the A/C can allow the seals to dry out, which will be expensive. In the summer, its nice to have the cooling, in winter, its nice to have the dehumidifying effect of the A/C unit.
The Climate Control is designed around the A/C, and works best with the A/C running...
