Post by: markey mark on 07 October 2007, 20:18:46
bit of a puzzler this one ! went to remove cd cartridge from the changer and it wouldnt come out so removed the whole changer and found the angle levers were in wrong position so put them right and got the cartridge out and refitted it and its like the head unit is not seeing the changer when you press the button on the wheel to select cd it is saying no cas on mid display ???? when you insert the cartridge it does all the functions to check for cds but its like its not there to head unit ?? any help or ideas tia mark  :y

Have a similar problem with mine.

Changed some CD's yesterday, put the cassette back in & CD's 4 & 5 wouldn't play, just came up with track 1. Took the CD's out, put them back in & now it's showing CD Error & I can't eject the cassette  :(

I could really do with sorting this ASAP as I've got a 200 mile journey on Saturday & need my CD's!

sounds like it needs cleaning bud !! disconnect it first and give it a min or two to reset then put a disc cleaner in it !!  :y

If you are happy enough to remove the lid of a CDC2 it's relatively easy to manually eject the cartridge, the main reason for it jamming is that a cd hasn't been succesfully 'loaded' from the cartridge into the drive unit and needs easing back into the cartridge first.

That's exactly what it was.
The CD in slot 4 was jamming, tried it in another slot & it was the same there, replaced with a different CD & all OK  :y

Guess it doesn't like The Baby Shambles  :D
