Title: Radio display problem
Post by: arthill on 17 November 2007, 00:02:36
My 2.2cd is fitted with CDR 2005 radio, I have noticed that on the display unit there is no info. in relation to radio, all other info is there and when radio is switched off date appears in central band on display, switch radio on and that band is blank I assume this is where radio info is shown as per manual, I have also discovered a mike behind rear/view mirror and a socket for a jack plug under ashtray.Could this be a connection for mobile phone, and if so could this have some bearing on radio situation? :-?

That should 'just work'

You are right in your assumptions.

Its a single plug at the MID end, so nothing there, and single plug at stereo end.

However, as you thought, if you have a phone kit linked to stereo, I guess the leads are not correctly passing through the display signals.

Remove this adapter lead (you will need radio code!!).  If that cures it, get a proper Autoleads adapter for your stereo.
