Title: self dimming mirror

hello just being to my local breakers and seen a omega with a self dimming rear mirror in it but it seems very loose to adjust is it meant to be like this or is there any way of sorting this out or is it broken

The self dip ones are normally fairly stiff, probably moreso than no self dipping ones  :-/

self dipping ones are electrical adjustable so have a motor in them, they adjust with the memory seats when your set up setting 1,2 and 3 on the seat in elite models, sounds like this one is broken !!

My Self dimming rear view mirror always feels loose when I'm moving it, almost like its not connected to anything, very floppy. Yet oddly as soon as i let go it doesnt just flop down as you would expect when its loose, but it stays put. And no amount of bumpy roads will make it move. Its weird but true !
