Post by: Lund on 28 January 2008, 19:59:42
My sister have a omega from 2000-.
She can not open the trunck when the key is ON in the ignition.

Is that the same to yours Omega’s

At my own Omega from 2003 I can with no problem open the trunck?

It's great to see this omega forum, but I hope not there is too much junk post her ;D

2000 cars had a 'safety feature' that stopped the boot from being opened if the key is in the ignition, this was changed for later cars.

Hope that helps  :y

and welcome to the forum

yes my 2000 x plate omega was the same, boot cannot be popped with the ignition on, it was a 'saftey' feature. removed in 2002.

I did manually removed this feature, there is a guide in the maintence section!

Basically involves cutting 1 wire behind the drivers kick pannel!  ;)

Many thanks......

That wire is soon cut :)
