Title: Total closure - without holding down remote button
Post by: omega3000elite on 02 February 2008, 19:21:53
Just been to see David from Total closure (link below) who used my facelift Elite as the test car for the full closure system.  Basically , this allows you to deadlock the car and walk away leaving the control box to close the windows / roof.

He will be posting pics + video as well as a "How to" guide on his site this weekend.

Kits are £30 and work well and are quick and easy to fit.

All in all , better than standing there holding the button down while the windows close !
Top job and a nice guy.

Isn't this what Paul M did to his car?

I bought an add-on box of elecktrickery to add remote locking to my wife's car a good few years back (not 16yrs though) that had a variable switch time of zero seconds to around a minute. You could easily use one of these to make a total closure system. It cost some what less then 30 spondoolies too.

I have it on the Hundy's alarms system

Waste of money IMO.

...... and with safety cut out ?

? How do you mean? Both windows & roof have safety anti-trap system as factory fit.
Don't think we're poo pooing your original comment, I find it's a ball ache standing holding the button to shut windows & doors. I fitted an alarm to my Senator years back that had total closure from just one press of the button.

Fitted one to my Vectra and it was much better than holding the button, i've got it in a box in the loft somewhere... been meaning to fit it to the Omega.

My wife has been known to ask why, if VX fitted an air quality sensor under the scuttle, did they not go the whole hog and fit one under the driver's seat.  ::)
