Hi I am new to this but i would like some advice. I have a 2000 CDX saloon with a multi change CD player in the dash as standard. I recently changed the battery and th CD hasnt worked since.
It keeps saying CD safe as if it needs a code but i have no cod for the CD only the radio and when I put that in it sets the radio up ok but then it does'nt ask for a code for the CD I am at a loss any help please? :-X

It needs the CD Prom re-blowing as it now thinks it needs a code but, there is no way of entering it on these units (plus you dont have it!).
Moved to the ICE section for better exposure.

What model stereo do you have?

If CCR 2006 then follow this link
http://ice.dndservices.co.uk/shop_show_item.php/ST/2006/ISS/20/IID/587/PAGE/shop_search_index.php
One of the most common failures of this unit is the error message "CDC SAFE"
There is a common software fault where the normally uncoded integrated CD Changer will decide to ask for a code, and as there is no method for CD code entry on this model, the Changer will simply lock up and display the error message.
As a quick diagnosis, all Tuner and Cassette operations should function as normal. If the CD button is pressed with a CD inside, the error message of "CDC SAFE" will be displayed and if the eject button is pressed, the cartridge should eject without any problems.

2000 Cdx will indeed have a CCR2006 fitted as standard
