Title: Locked radio please help.
Post by: Eirik on 11 March 2008, 13:19:06
Hi all,

I have an Omega 2.6 Elite 01 reg and the fuse blew in the back of the radio. I have changed the fuse, but now my radio is locked. I can't find the card with the radio code so if someone know how to get a code to unlock it I would be very happy. The nearest Vauxhall dealership is to far away from me to just nip up and get it fixed as well. I know there is some good sites online that can do it though, but if you know some trustworthy sites or site I would be glad. It's a CCR2006 double din unit, Bose setup.

Thanks in advance.

You need the carpass only available from Vauxhall.

There are a few sites out there, though not sure the ccr2006 is doable from serial?  Most of these sites have started charging as well.

Thanks for your answer, and yes it's doable from serial. I found a site that does it. Looked ok, but they have to order it directly from the manufacturer so it will take about 4 hours to get it and sometimes more. Did cost me £26 though so I hope it works. Now I have to find out how to enter it (if i get one). I read it in the manual once, but the manual is where the code card is and I think it all got lost when I moved last year  :-[ .

We stopped offering this code by serial number as it worked less than 20% of the time.

however, if your radio is locked, the number aint gonna help you anyway!

Send the unit to me, and I will unlock it and send it back with a good code number. And as with all double din units, send it to me with the cage attatched as it offers greater protection for the unit in transit.

Thanks for the answer, but the code provided was the correct one. I rembered the code the second I saw it...btw, bad wording by me, it wasn't locked it only showed safe on the display so I had radio on my way home from work ;).

Thanks!
