Title: Central computer display
Post by: Kieran on 24 March 2008, 21:51:03
Hi ya all
I have a problem with my central computer display which seems to have gone dull and difficult to read during the day. What could be causing this and if i have to purchase a new one  how difficult is it to remove and replace.
Bloody cold weekend i was caravaning all weekend and it snowed everyday plus the wind was awful. :(

Cheers

If its with lights on, just check you haven't knocked dash illumination down.

If its all the time, there are 2, 3, or 4 backlight bulbs (depending on type)

Dash out (guide in Maintenece Guides), then backlight bulbs obvious.

Yeah mate thats it...apart from 2 potential things...if you dont have adjustable steering column you will have to remove the steering wheel cowling to get to the bottom screw (1st pic) and at the end you will need to reach round the back of the unit to unclip the wiring to the unit to fully remove it (although its just about possible to change bulbs without removing completely)
