The memory function on a car that has them fitted as standard extends to the door and rear view mirrors too. I reckon that might be complex :-/

It was Sassanach, he said it was a major amount of work as the base of an MV6 seat is radically different to an Elite one so his plan of just swapping the bases turned into a long haul with the welder and hacksaw!

Sassanach did indeed do it.

Lot of work!

And he is a professional metalworker ;)

my last elite had el/mem/seats/mirrors.
My current has recaro sports, guess which are better. However loosing the dippy mirror was a shame, 1k upgrade on td I believe. For the recaros that is.

What about facelift elite seats into a facelift CD then??? Is it likely to have any wiring or is it also a bit of a porky pig of a job?

I was chatting to FFcGary1 about this last night, he had done it in the past on a CDX.

might be worth dropping him a PM

there are indeed just 3 extra wires needed. My Elite seats work fine in the MV6 Polac.

In an extra smaller loom plug, ground and permenant live can be taken from the exisiting wiring, just a switched live is needed as an extra, which could easily come from the rear lighter socket.

So whatīs the difference between Elite and MV6 seats.

We donīt have that Elite model here in Finland.
MV6 had memory as option when bought. So could this be straight fit then??

Are you saying that there are Recaro, leather facelift seats with memory function built in as standard?

If there are I want a dark grey pair!

Cheers for all info. The problem being, if you're installing elite seats into a lower spec CD, you have to do the proper job with all wiring because all the adjustment is electrical, therefore you'll either be driving with your knees on the dashboard or blocks of wood strapped to the pedals!!!  ;D

Interesting on the need for a switched live... The facelift elite seat adjustment actually works with the ignition switched off, not sure on the memory function? There are various connectors down the side of each seat so perhaps it may be more plug and play than we thought? Otherwise a couple of scotchloks I suppose. Would be interesting to see some connectors.... ::)

But I think you need the respective door open...

Don't swear...scotchlocks are the devils work...the person who invented them needs stringing up by their privates...
