Title: How to remove radio info on dash panel?
Post by: Strange on 02 May 2008, 22:27:29
Hey.
I'm having a dubble DIN radio in my omega. Therefore I don't need the info from the radio to display in the dash bord. And now, when i switch on my radio, the display shouts off. Does any of you know which wire i need to give power, so the time and date is shown allways, even when i turn on the radio? I've tried it in my old Omega, but now I've forgotten what I did.

Thanks in advance... :)

On the old Omega you just cut the red/white wire IIRC :-/

its the 12v feed/signal from headunit to MID.  Same signal used to signal aerial amp and power amp, so cut it mid end

Always grab the cat first, before you cut the wire - in case it's the wrong one and you have to make a run for it....
