Yeah, pretty simple though:

1 press, give current traffic details for the road you are on and the direction you are going in (if you've passed 2 posts). 'Trafficmaster' if in non covered area.

2 presses - toggle between auto and manual mode

3 presses - volume - it counts up and down, press again when volume is right.

LED:
Off - non covered area
Green - road ahead clear
Red - road ahead has delays
Flashing - receiving from post

Thats about it.

I need to get my CCR2006 sorted - the usual "CD Safe" message so will send to you as soon as I can work out how to package it up properly. Do I buy your services on e-bay or PM you?

Would be interested in the TM fix too!

Mark

The CCR2006 CDC-SAFE message is easiest fixed via our website as the ebay listings get purchased as fast as I list them, so no use in me sending you a link to that.

Follow this link instead   :y

Removed the Traffic Master system from my Omega when I was changing the brakelight switch (control unit was in the way) and never replaced it, as there's a much better system that Traffic Master have sold in the past that doesn't need any subscription ever.  Its called "Traffic Alert 1210" a small unit that you stick at the top of your windcreen (inside!) and beeps and shows green, amber and red lights to tell you the extent, direction and distance of any hold ups.  I've had my unit for 10 years, bought at a cost of £15.  Just did a quick search on eBay and found one that sold cpl of months ago so you can see a pic of what I'm on about...

Its no better than the Traffic Master sytem, its virtually the same thing inside, the only difference was the way it was marketed and sold - TM was sold on an ongoing subscription basis (  ::) ahem!) and the RAC unit (and a few other badges that also appeared on them) was sold with a paid up front subscription that covered you for life.

The operations, functions and everything else are identical, with the only real difference being this as a stick on unit and the TM as a nice button built into the dash.

All the same, a nice unt for those without the TM button !!

I think you're missing an important point - at £15 all in, the portable one was sold as not needing a subscription ever, not as "subscription paid up-front".

Personaly I think the voice prompts of the orignal TM are better than beeps and lamps.

I also like the built in look as well. Can't stand things stuck on the windscreen or dash top.
