Title: Rear window won't go up
Post by: alexandjen on 11 May 2008, 14:46:06
Just went to go out to the beach, wife decides to wind rear o/s window down, now it wont go back up.
It goes up about a quarter of the way then bounces back down again.
Doesn't appear to be anything in the guides/rubbers.
Help and advice please  :(

Try 'helping' it up (Oooer! ::)) as you/wife presses the up switch. Probably dry runners & lack of use.

The rear windows have a safety device to stop anything or anyone getting trapped. If the window meets any resistance on the way up it will go back down again, as Andy says try the runners.

Used to be able to buy "soft soap".  Ideal for helping stuck windows/dry runners :y

You only need to use a little bit - that tub will last for ever!!
