I thought the fog lights stayed on when you put your main beam on.

i thought he was implying that fogs would come on at the same time as mainbeam ie (flash mainbeam and fogs flash as well)

I used to do it dribing on the back road in Wiltshire as it gave good peripheral lighting which was handy to spot and avoid those pesty deer!

My mate's BMW hit one and caused over 4k of damage!

Not easy to do on the Omega without adding a relay into the setup.

Technically you're not allowed to have the deer if you hit it !
The person behind you is allowed to recover the deer.

Weird but true  ;D

Please remember that driving with fog lights on is illegal UNLESS visibility is below 100 metres...

Just thought it was worth a mention ......  :)

.... misuse of fog lights (front or rear) is a ticket.....

Use only during fog or falling snow or similar where visibility is reduced to less than 100 metres.

If you want to use them as 'look at me' lights, I'm sure your financial contribution to the legal coffers would be appreciated.... ;)

but if they were to come on with your main beam no-one would know any different, because if someone came the other way dip your lights and off they go,
if your that way inclined to use your fogs as look at me lights then you are asking for trouble as has been said

Mr Plod, parked in his car, would see them, as you don't "dip" for parked cars do you... voila .. a "moving traffic offence" ... he can "do" you for the lights, and demand you "blow in the bag" ...

:(

Yes, I usually refer to them as 'tosser lights'.....when being followed by somebody with front fogs on I sometimes stick my rears on.

If they then use full beam its great watching thier face as you raise the sun blind!  :y

Would be a really good idea if you could just upgrade the bulbs in the rear foglights to something really bright !!! some cars do seem to have ultra bright rear fogs..( or maybe the old style reversing light on the Escort Mexicos.55watt standard spot light) just would look a bit naff on rear bumper

wig wag is what you need for sorting out saxo muppets they crap there pants when the fogs start flashing

the police have new powers for dealing with saxo paxos its called a Section 59 Anti Social Use Of a Vehicle Order

bit pointless the fogs on the omega are not that good the main beam is good enough
