My Omega spat its dummy out when I was going to use it today. Flat battery ..... again. I'd to jump it when I went to Pompey about 10 days ago, since then it's sat there on the path. Tried to use today, unlocked OK, but the dash lit up very dimmly, not even a splutter from the starter. It's still the same nattery as when I bought the car 4yrs ... or was it 5yrs ago.
I've ordered a new one today ...... but none in stock at 'my' dealer or group.

washing up sorry its easy you see fill the sin with soap and water then clean the dirty item and place them on the draining board!

Washing up is alright.... can't be bothered drying the stuff though.... Has to stay in the drainer until it's dry!

Ow yes, I forgot about those.....
.....THE worst was when I put a brake servo in the oven after the one way valve in the vac hose had failed (off a carb based Nova) resulting in petrol getting into the rubber.
It took 3 hours to sweat the fuel out......worked realy well.....the whole house smelt like the inside of a BP tanker for ages though!

I just leave £20 on dining room table on a thurs morning........and its disapeared when i come home.......carpets have been vacuumed, house is clean, laundrey has been ironed.

Used to work in a kitchen..............you realy dont want to know what realy goes on in most kitchens.
I can always remember one (The Bakers Arms in Thorpe Langton, Leicestershire). You used to say to the Chef, need the loo, he would ALWAYS reply, go out the back and piss on the mint then bring me some, that way it saves me salting the spud water!

It is a pain her not cooking, I leave the house at 7.30 am (violins at the ready) and get back in at 6.30pm and then have to cook tea.
I always say that I have two slow cookers in the house, one you plug in and the other you turn on (eventualy)

I really didn't want to get imvolved in this thread, as I got suckered in the other night to that thread.
But then someone mentioned cake.....

Another story from the last few days of my student life....
I had been to Rock City (nottingham) with a good mate on a Friday night and we were (ever so) slightly drunk (I dont drink anymore).....on walking down past the concert hall to upper parliment street my mate found a dead pidgeon which he picked up.
It had been there a while as it was nice and stiff with one wing straight out and the other folded in. It had the usual dead animal slightly pissed off look in its face to (guess it had been hit by a rotten Nissan taxi in a hurry whilt it was trying to get its leg over)
We walked a bit further until we reached Burger King (near the Victoria centre) which was absolutely heaving (late on a Friday night) and my friend said, what we gonna do with this.
I had a brain wave and opened the door of Burger King and shouted Pidgeon.....
.....at which point a deadly silence fell upon the place and there were a load of people looking at me.
For some god unknown reason I threw the pidgeon at the counter and to this day I can still picture what appeared to be slow motion as this bird flew through the air and the crowd at the counter parted, the bird hit the top of the counter and feathers went every where as the bird skidded off the counter and into where the staff were stood.
We just quietly, closed the door and walked home with screams and panic left inside and it wasnt until we got back to the house we finaly realised what we (I) had done!
They now have bouncers on the door at night ::)
True story.....gets discussed every time we go for a big night out (although I dont drink)

:oHey, i can & do cook.No Dolmio or other such cr*p in MY kitchen, i actually enjoy it. Don't clear up til next day though!!!!!!!!! 8-)

Sinks - been sanding my mirror cover in it tonight - ready for priming in hte morning.
I can cook - but I do it outside - the butchers burgers are lovely.
I put up an outside light so I can cook at night too, yes I do barbeque in winter

I'm slightly more worried about admitting that i'm aware, first hand, of the operational parameters of the Washing machine, the tumble dryer, dishwasher and Hoover (although actually, we get the kids to do most of the hoovering, it knackers my hands.... seriously.... . )
the cooking duties are divvied up based on whoever gets home first......
since , as often as not, I work from home, that usually means me... and while the rest of em don';t actually starve when I'm away, it's fair to say that Chrissy's cooking is "predictably english" , and maybe a tad pedestrian..... but to be fair, her cakes are bloody fabulous..... so she's not a complete waste of money :y
Mark, I can out do your Mrs for the Worst cooking , My Mother in law.... she once put her husband's dinner in the oven to keep warm.

BBQ in winter...... it's why we bought a Canadian gas BBQ..... they're designed to be used in sub zero conditions, so their heat output is proportionately greater than a typical Uk model.
I've even done a whole turkey in it..... :D

Mine went into Tesco to do her weekly shop recently and asked an assistant 'can you tell me where the Coop Lasagnes are please'.........I ask you, there is no hope!

My first one rusted out, and is now spread around everywhere - including wood used in repairing a hutch :o
The current one is a Homebase special but already has the dreaded burner rot. 4 burner - 1/2 grill 1/2 hotplate.

A salad in the oven it be her age max i am not a good cook but i get by and would'nt put a salad in the oven , it made me laugh when i read it ;D ;D ;D by the way your cooking is dam good because i have eaten it and it was sooooo lovelly and james says your a dam good cook too :)

oh hubby is good he knows how to iron ad hover but doesnt know how to do the f****n dishes.....
Buy him a dish washer, we know how to fill them ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
Ow yes, I use that quite a bit......
......for cleaning heads, sumps.......v8 blocks ::)
Generaly get a bolloking after coz the next load of dishes come out a little smeary though :-X
Wait, they wash sishes too...? amazing!!
