Title: n/s/f central locking!
Post by: mark3 on 19 July 2008, 17:33:19
Not locking! sometimes it tries, i find the button half down!

anyways had the door trim off and removed the connector plug from motor/power unit and had 10/11 volt present at 2 out of 3 pins when locking it, and again 10/11 volt present at a different 2 out of 3 pins when un locking it....i assume its a defective motor/power unit? looks like its all part of the lock mechanism as well?

whats your thoughts?

Thanx in advance!!

servo is seperate motor, black oblong unit. Sounds like its failed (assuming locking/unlocking manually is not stiff)

i had a look inside and can clearly see the servo unit, linkages go to and throw really easy and i have some voltage at pins in connector when locked/unlocked so i guess it is the servo BUT i see no way of removing the servo alone, looks like the whole lock assebly needs to be removed then strip servo from it off the vehicle!!!

does this seem right? i reckon so but not took one out before! well not on an omega!
