Evening all,
Just bought an Elite (99my) which has the CCRT700 Bose Onstar System installed.
The GID displays date, time, phone and outside temperature figures fine. Upon starting there is no 'Check Brakes' message and the trip computer will not scroll through the various options.
I initially thought it was the indicator stalk, but if I hold down the S & R buttons the display changes after a few seconds to display some random numbers that mean nothing to me but seem to indicate that the buttons work.
I'd quite like to have the display working properly so I can measure mpg etc, does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in advance 8-)

Only thing I can thing of is check control disabled...
Post up what it says when you hold the 2 buttons for 3s

058 2
052 24060
In that order on the screen.
Funny thing is that occasionally you see the word 'Check' on the screen for about 1/4 second before it goes straight onto Outside Temp.
Cheers for replying

Is there any way to re-enable Check control?

The config seems to be TID mode for a car with 225 tyres, and non hid headlights :-/
-
That makes no sense! - it has the 225 tyres and hid headlamps.
Can it be reconfigured? Will the local VX dealer have a clue what I'm talking about if it take it to them?
The phone display works fine in the bottom right side of the display if that makes any difference?

Previous owner has probably changed that display and itīs not configured correct to vehicle. I think it could be fixed by uploading new software in it with tech2?

Its not easy to fully work out all the config codes, plus in addition, there are more options which don't affect the config code. But those in the 50s all seem to be for TID mode, rather than MID mode, but I can't think of a reason to use TID mode on that display...
Tech2 can reconfigure, assuming the operator understands what they are doing (which probably rules out most dealers ;D)

I'll maybe keep an eye out for any meets in the NorthWest and ask around if anyone knows of any good dealer, though coming from Alfa Romeo I'm sure they'll be far and away better!
