Title: Pin connections for CCRT 700
Post by: chelseabreaker on 19 July 2008, 17:24:15
Has anybody worked out the connections for the top row of a CCRT 700? I am trying to install one in my omega and cannot get the display to show the data

What are you changing it from?  There is a bit of rewiring to do, but if you are replacing a non ccrt700, as a minimum you will need a new display and a new CDC2 (takes an identical looking, but different CDC2 to CCR600/CCR800)

display is CAN driven! you need to rewire the display connector me and The Boy have retro fitted them its alot of work! and in all honestly it aint worth the bother! a CCR 800 is just as good! and alot less grief and hastle than a CCRT 700

you need a special display for a CCRT to work and a standard CCR2/4/6/800 one wont work!  i think ive got diagrams somewhere that i drew out but they will take some finding but from what i do know you have to swap over 3 wires on the GID/MID/TID/CID connector

The CD changer wires need changing aswell! swapping around but i think i remember the boy telling me his car didnt have these wires where as myn did so you mite need to run more wires from the hu to the cdc!

that  diagram i found to be is slighly incorrect ! the display wiring is different and a different display is required!
