After loads of fetling around, I finally got my pioneer headunit to work with my Omega Elite, I took it to some guy and he told me that he could take the BOSE amplifier out of the equation and run all the speakers in the car via the headunits amplifier, the headunit i brought was 50 watts per channel and I must admit sounds ok for 7 year old Bose speakers.
The amplifier is still sitting there and he left some wires in just incase someone wanted to change it back, but I wasnt prepared to spend a load of money @ Vauxhall on a new CD unit for the car that doesnt play MP3's and the lazer will eventualy go again as it wouldnt have liked copied CD's
Now I brought myself the steering control stalk adapter and it all seems muddled up, the volume buttons on the left doesnt work at all, the change between radio and CD mutes the sound, and the scrolling through radio stations and tracks on CD buttons, one turns the volume down, and the other changes it between FM,AM and MW.
Admitantly its from a 98 Vectra V6 with a pioneer unit, but it worked in there, and all the connections seemed the same.
Any ideas ???
Thanks

Volume is not on the left. ;)
Right hand side of wheel.
+ ..... volume up
- ...... obviously volume down
O ..... changes from CD/Tuner/Cassette/Phone (or what ever you have)
Left hand side of wheel
> ..... up frequency on radio or up track on CD
< ...... down frequency range or down track on CD
--> (but pointing up ;)) up stored radio stations or next CD in the magazine

Is it a pioneer CA DPI 150 adaptor? Does MID and Steering controls
I have 2 which work fine, sounds like maybe a shorted or disconnected wire, east to do trying to shoehorn everything in.

Ive got a Pioneer avic-x1 in my car, I just plugged it straight in and it worked (Ive got an Elite with the Bose amp too)
As for the steering wheel controls, the volume works, and the track / station seek buttons work... However both bottom buttons on the steering wheel do the same thing, they turn the volume right down (bit like mute - it shows ATT on the screen)
I wouldn't push your headunit too much either (volume wise). The bose speakers are only 2ohms, and the head unit will prob be designed for 4ohms at the minimum! (in simple terms, the headunit is working twice as hard as it should be - and hence it MAY burn itself out if cranked up!)

Oh, another point... The steering wheel buttons are the same in all vauxhalls as far as im aware.
I would think that the problem is your headunit itself... That decideds what each button does, and theres probably nothing you can do about it!
However it is strange that the track/seek buttons dont work. Have you tried changing radio station with them?

God I wish I would read what I write sometimes.
The LEFT SEEK button turns the volume down the
RIGHT SEEK buttons does not do anything
The Change between RADIO & CD does not do anything
The VOLUME UP (on the right lol) does nothing
The VOUME DOWN (on the right lol) does nothing
And whatever the last button on the right, 3rd one down mutes the sound on and off
I Paid about £37 for this a year ago to go in my old car and I thought it would just switch over, I havnt tried it in another headunit no to be honest and all the leads seem to be in, i didnt even have to earth the adapter as it just worked (as ti has an earthing wire), although i temporarily tried earthing it to the door hinge just to see (as i couldnt see anywhere where to earth it in the head unit compartment) and still no joy.
The adapter just says its a "UNIVERSAL STALK ADAPTER, 29-00 022337 but no manufacturer or nout.
