Elite Est 97 Preg . Does it have a separate amp? If so where is it.
Car has steering controls which wont work sc804 or ccr800 any ideas?
-
in the elite yes think its under rear shelf ! to get steering controls working iirc you need new airbag squib and a bit of wiring too :-/
-

not there. The sc804 is taken from a 95 elite was a straight swop. Would 95 have had an amp?

And is the steering wheel an add on on 97 P reg.

No, you will find that pre '97 cars had steering wheels too. ;)

ccr800 can be configured to work with remote controls via tech2. never seen one not preconfigured though :-/
sc804 cannot use remote controls
some sc804 have amp, some don't. Its a small amp, not corsa boyz 10000 watts, just to provide extra depth.

I was too busy trying to cure hot running to worry about improved sound,
I suppose I should have seen that coming!
Should a 97 april P reg have steering controls (april) they wont work with ccr 800 either,

The only 804's with additional amps were some Elite Saloons (the amp is a naff philips thing just forward of the spare wheel well plus two speakers under the rear shelf but no grills above!).

i am having problem fitting this phillip amp to my pioneer radio, it just wont work, i thought the amp was bad, i bought another one, but it is still not working. I connect it the way i belive it should be connected.
Has anyone changed thire car radio using the same phillip amp and if yes, please tell me how it was connected.
thanks

You will probably find that the Pioneer shuts down and goes into protection mode if you try to connect it to the Philips amp.
Its not compatable.

Earlier today went for a drive, put a Rory Gallagher CD in (one of my favourites) for the first time in this car and can tell you one thing: SC804 will be thrown out very soon, speakers to follow >:(
