Is it possible to fit a double din radio to the Omega pre facelift?
I can see that a fascia plate or similar would be needed, or is this just a physical impossibility without major surgery.
I have a oem radio cassette with the 6 cd changer in the boot and am thinking of upgrading. I was looking at a kenwood unit with satnav and phone handsfree all built in, but of course it's a double din fitment because of it.
I never use cassettes, and am considering re-instating the car hands free system if I can find one, so I thought I might kill lots of birds with one stone!

There simply isn't room, as you can see just by looking at dash. Room is very tight behind there anyway.

That'll help ya to fit a double DIN unit. Although you will be pushed for space behind the unit.

This link is for facelifts. From 2000 on, it won't do you any good in pre-facelift where dash is different.

Oh yea i just read the first post properly ;P
Why would you even consider attempting to fit a double DIN to a pre facelift Dash? pretty much impossible isnt it???

YEs, but after seeing the integrated all in one offerings from Becker and blaupunkt I realised I don't really need a double din unit.
Also the motorised screens would clash with the gear selector and block the controls! - Nah they can keep them.
