My rear drivers side window wont go up on its 1 touch thing, or on the remote when leaving the car. All the others are fine. Its fine if you close it a couple o inches then stop then repeat.
Is this because the windows need resetting? If so, How?
-
my front passenger window does this. goes up about 4 or 5 inch then comes back down. i can close fully tho if i do it in stages. :-?
-
Yes mines exactly the same. I remember reading somewhere that if you remove the battery the windows need to be "reset" or the one touch wont work. But i cant find anything in the search
Hmmmm thinks it might have been in the hand book i read it "goes to get handbook"

wind the window up using the window button in the car, once fully up press and hold the button again and you'll hear the relay click,
thats them on auto close. :y :y

Tried that but it still does the same as before. Gets to about 4" from the top then stops and goes all the way back down.

They have a safety feature, if there's any resistance they will stop and go back down, stops young fingers getting trapped. Try to lube the runners.
-
Do you mean take off the door card and lube the runners in the doors, or the bits up the top what the window runs in (around the window frame)????
-
I would try some PTFE Spray in the window runners either side of the door.
-
Most car accessory shops will sell a form of either PTFE or silicone based lubricant in a spray can.
Nice and easy to use, spray onto the felt runners, run the windows up and down a few times and you will find that they close a lot quicker than they did before.
We lubricate all of our windows every couple of months as preventative maintenance, and certainly worth the fiver or so that the can will cost.
;)

PTFE is prefered as it is a dry lube, silicon can result in smearing on the glass :y

Had this on my omega and vectra. Found using normal house hold polish sprayed in the runners using a drinking straw.
