How do you know if it has or hasnt accepted it as correct if the stereo is already up and running???
Tried the AS thing to input the code and all is as it should be...checked out the code for the stereo and put it in (in this case a CDR500) however if I put in a wrong code, the stereo still came on and there was no noticable difference...also when the stereo was initially put in it didnt ask for a code anyway and worked fine...
Also tried this with a CCR800 and seems to be the same...doesnt come up with safe 10 like when entering CD changer code...just says CODE then the 4 ---- to input code...

hi CHRIS, sounds like it has been de-coded, quite common as people have it done after losing the code or got the car without the stereo code.

Moving to ICE/Electrical, as more appropriate

The CODE number function has been turned off. Until it is reactivated, the code will not be required nor accepted.
