Just been looking on Ebay and came across this item .... looks and sounds good ..... maybe too good ? I wonder if this would work with the steering controls ..

I wonder if this would work with the steering controls ..
Not a chance -
and due to the low budget cost, its highly unlikely that they will ever put any money into developing steering control capability for an old car like the Omega.

I did kind of wonder why there was no mention of the manufacturer :y

i was about to mention that, there are a good few unbranded electricals these days, feature packed but questionable reliability

Looks nice though .... :y

My fiance bought me an unbranded head unit off ebay for my birthday last year. It worked for about a week then broke.
I sent it back and bought a good old pioneer unit instead. Don't be fooled by cheapness!!! :-/

yea i was offered one of them hong kong naff radios for £120! it was totally rubbish and the sound quality off the pioneer DEH2500MP was far superior compared with this nakaochinchi thing! also i notice these cheap radios dont support RDS

The cheap made in hong kong stuff isnt always poor quality....a large amount of supposedly made in hon kong electrical items are in fact made in the Philippines due too cheap labour and shipped too hong kong.
Ive seen many non branded electrical items that are in fact actually Sony/pioneer/LG but dressed differently....referred too as local in Philippines.
So whilst you should be cautious of cheap tat from oversea"s its not all bad.... :y
