Hi,
I've a couple of niggling electrical problems which I'm hoping are interlinked and maybe you guys and girls can shed some light....
Firstly, my EML light comes on intermittantly. The car starts fine and runs well. I did the paperclip test and got the following codes:-
135 : Telltale (checklight) voltage low.
87 : AC cutoff relay voltage low.
52 : Telltale (checklight) voltage high.
I was advised earlier to check the AC relay, but to be honest I'm unsure how to do that so I gave it a tap in case it was stuck... but no difference.
Secondly, my interior lights have recently stopped working. The courtesy lights work fine (ie when you open the door) but the others on the switchs don't. I've checked the bulbs and fuses and all is fine.
Thirdly, and I think this is unrelated and I havn't checked yet. My windscreen washers seem very slow to respond and the water jet is very low. That's maybe a blockage in the pipe which I need to check, but I'm wondering if the pump isn't getting enough voltage?
Its all abit puzzling to me.. ::)

I think your washer jets will just be a clogged filter. Pull out the pump (straight up) from the middle of the washer bottle. All the water will pour out but in your hand you'll have the rubber cap that's the filter. Give it a clean and pop it back in.
Regarding the code 87. I have the same problem. It's caused by no voltage at relay K60 in the engine compartment. Remove K60 and the error code will disappear because the ECU can't see the fault. Unfortunately the fault will still be there.
Code 87 knocks out all the climate relays and extra cooling fans.
When I solve it I'll post back. I think a connector has come loose somewhere because it's simply a live feed that should be present when the ignition is on that's missing.

My code 87 was fuse 29 (under the steering wheel).
