Hi
Just bought an Omega and it is fitted with a blaupunkt cd 300, but the steering wheel controls do not function at all, any help much appreciated :)
-
I may be wrong here, but I didn`t think the CD300 was fitted as standard to the Omega? Not sure it has steering controls functionality either?
-
That would explain it then !! ::)
The display works fine and the radio works fine its just the steering controls, which radio CD do you think would be the correct one?

Hi Again,
Just noticed in the paperwork that came with the car, on the Car Pass it states radio type 0400, but there is also a radio pass which states CD300.
Does it look like its been changed for a lower spec model at some timeon the cars life?

Th CD300 was more common on Vectra`s and Astra`s and I would have expected to see a CDR500 in the Omega as an upgrade. The fact you have two car passes would suggest that it probably has been changed at some point.

Never seen a CD300 in Omega. Its possible it is adjustable via Tech2 to support remote controls, as CAR400 and later are. Cannot confirm that as never seen one.
-
Cannot find any docs on CD300. CAR300 does not support remote controls, only CAR400 and later.

CD300 does not interface with Tech2

CD300 does not interface with Tech2
Which would explain why I can find no configs for it ;D
To OP, get one that was factory fitted to Omega - CAR400/CDR500/CCR600 as these will be plug and play, and can be configed for remote controls. Or go aftermarket, but you need one that has adapters for the controls and screen.
