Title: cigarette lighter stay live

Hi all can anyone help me i need to somehow to make my cigartte lighter stay live all the time with the keys out and car locked up as i work on the roads at nigh time and most of the time im out of the car and need them to still be flashing.Can i just run a wire from the cigarette lighter to the battery if so what wire is it. :y

I would have thought best way is to find which wire is the switched live, disconnect and tape off. Then, if you do run a feed direct from the battery protect the socket with an inline fuse.

got it sorted now RoBG only took me about 15 mins to do and i had to take the glovebox out but now its to how i want it :y

Ideally the inline fuse should be near the battery :)

thats where i have put it lol so if the fuse does go its easy to get too :y

You actually mean less wire to burn out ;) :D
