i want to fit an auto dip r/view mirror to my miggy, ive got one but need to know the wiring as i dont have any memory functions so wont need half the wires on it, just the basic "dim for idiots behind" feature needed, also does it fit on the original mount?,,,cheers :y

Its needs 12v, 0v, courtesy light on, and reverse. All but last available from courtesy light
-
Know which colour wires are which TB? Or where you get reverse from (apart from via the big R symbol on the gearstick lol)??
-
Colours seem to vary.
Reverse available from passenger kick panel, or from Carin Loom if post mid 1998.

Ooo so my S reg Tourer will have the loom for the Carin satnav there? :)

Standard mount across the range :)

Not the full loom, but will have the connector to allow carin loom to plug straight in to car loom, making retrofit easy (run carin loom), fit bits, done.

cheers TB, so the + & - is from interior light, is the reverse one essential or is it so it doesnt dim when reversing?, so all i need is an ID on what wires as there is a fair bunch to choose from on this thing!, thought id ask to save me following the minicule drawing in the haynes manual, my eyes aint as good as they used to be :'(

Reverse is to undim in reverse. Courtesy is to stop it dimming when YOU are putting on your makeup ;D
Its not difficult to run the reverse wire, but if pre 1998, not that easy to connect ;D
The wires in the mirror seem to vary, but if you get a short length of loom with the plug on, they tend to be the same.

cheers TB, ive not got a worry when it comes to make up as im not that way inclined!, [apart from fridays :o], ive found the link on it [tnx shanjon] so i should be o,k, i was considering trying to put a switch on the motor side of things but that would be adventurous & lazy, & as im the only one driving it a little pointless ;)
