Title: adaptor for aftermarket head unit?
Post by: humbucker on 06 November 2008, 13:34:31
hi all

correct me if ive got this wrong, but vx supplied headunits have a standard 'vx' type fitment at the back and the plug on the end of the wires that go into the head unit are this 'vx' fitment

i want to put an aftermarket head unit into the car and so i wondered if you could tell me what adaptor/work i need to do to be able to plug it in?

thanks

Just go into a car hifi shop and get an ISO adapter for Vauxhalls - simply plug'n'play.

Its difficult to give an accurate reply when the words "Standard Fitment" are used. Anything supplied by Vauxhall would be classed as standard, and I can think of at least a dozen different wiring configurations for this manufacturer.

Give some more details, what car do you have, what is currently fitted, what are you hoping to achieve and fit?

The mor info you give, then better the help will be from others.
