I have most of what you need here, I believe the Bose loom is quite probably not in the facelifts at all so takes more work...I only have an estate Bose system thouh so the stereo, CDC2, amp and door speakers will be there but the parcel shelf and shelf speakers etc wont be plus the loom wont have the loom for the rear shelf speakers
-
cool, how much work?? i've got abit of know how, are the other parts easy to find? to be honest i've never heard a bose system in an omega, is it going to worth all the hassle?? does that include the sub?
Thanks for the quick response.

Bose in an Omega is'nt a loud thump bang boy racer thing but still louder than any other VX standard system. Where it really shines is sheer quality of sound, classy if you like. Had mine changed over (cheers MM) & it's definately worthwhile. 8-) :y

Only real work is going to be wiring into the existing system...but I will send you as much of the loom as poss from the head unit area right back...can include the sub if you like but its for an estate, I dont think the saloon normally has one...

Thats what the shelf speakers do.
As for the wiring, get a traffic master adaptor loom as that will give you soemthing to mod before fitting.

Ahh ok lol well the estate as it doesnt have a rear parcel shelf has a sub box passengers side rear cubby hole...
could probably fit the same thing into a saloon no problem rather than the speakers cut into the shelf...

You will have to cur the speaker holes, as post 1999 cars do not appear to have knockouts. Also, you need the carpet bit of shelf with speaker grills

Its in the rear boot panel opposite side of where you find the cd changer and amp in the estate, could be a spare wheel there on the saloon?? :)

Ive just purchased a Omega Est 2.5 2000 V how do I confirm that it is a Bose system fitted to the car on the look around rear n/s cubby hole had a speaker behind the flap the o/s cubby hole was filled by a black box, what is confusing me is the on the dash panel are three press knobs same as the earlier model veh which control Bass Treble and stereo balance, the car Ive bought is still at the supplier dont pick it up till next week.
-
Tawfield if its an elite then it should have Bose, does sound like you have the sub...check in the drivers side cubby hole, should be an amp in there as well as the CDC2 6 cd changer...

Thanks MuntantCav,
I will find out for sure once i collect the veh it is described as having a premium sound system.
